New techniques and strong points of EIMA International

The great participation in the official competition for prizes such as New Technical Products, Honorable Mention and Premium Blu awarded for the innovative solutions proposed by the exhibiting industries. Also numerous meetings promoted by universities, associations and publishing houses to further themes on research and the most advanced applications in the field of agricultural mechanization.

Technological innovations are the passwords for EIMA International, the great review of agricultural mechanization organized by FederUnacoma and set for next November 9 to 13 in the Bologna Trade Fair Center to feature dedicated initiatives and high profile events. The New Techniques competition is a traditional EIMA International fixture for staging an increasingly wide scenario of unprecedented innovation solutions exhibiting manufacturers are debuting at the exposition for the media and general public and introducing to serial production.

Investments in innovation and the strong design drive of these manufacturing industries are growing as is shown by the large number of technological solution entries in the competition, 141 of them in widely diversified merchandise categories. After examinations of the technical characteristics of the products and evaluating their impact these new solutions can carry for production efficiency and eco-compatibility and safety, the jury has selected 25 models as New Technical Products and another 54 technologies for Honorable Mention prizes.
The prizes to be given out during a gala awards ceremony in Bologna, scheduled for Saturday, November 12 in the Palazzo Re Enzo, have been named for a wide range of machinery types, equipment and components created mainly for the automatic control of operations, the management of irrigation and spraying, safety for workers and co-compatibility. The matter of the sustainability of mechanical technologies for agriculture has been given special emphasis with the first time institution of Premium Blu prizes to assign in conjunction with the New Produce and Honorable Mention prizes going to 14 winners.

The New Techniques competition is held in the Four-Sided Arch area of the trade fair center as a sort of visitors ticket to the review presenting top flight technical content as confirmed by research and innovations and other activities playing central roles throughout the exposition. The XXVII edition of the Club of Bologna meetings will be held Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13 for the gathering of world level experts for dealing with new trends in research in the field of mechanization, focusing on the direction of specific new technologies developed for various areas of the world and for concluding work on assigning International Giuseppe Pelizzi Prizes to go to the best dissertations on agricultural mechanization issues written for university degrees.

To cite among the appointments promoted at the university level are a conference on Information Technologies for Disseminating Innovations in Agriculture: Testimony from Europe, organized by the University of Milan, University of Turin and the Cadir Lab Srl and scheduled for Friday, November 11; in the same field of IT, advanced electronics and the ISOBUS Protocol technologies, the AEF Foundation, FederUnacoma and UNACMA are promoting a meeting Friday afternoon, November 11 in the EIMA Desk in Pavilion 33 III. Agrarian Mechanics Today: The Challenge of Research and Experimentation, is the name of a seminar set up by the Third Section of the Italian Agrarian Engineering Association, AIIA, for the morning of Friday the 11th as an occasion for getting acquainted with the wide range of the most advanced projects in this sector of mechanics. Meetings backed by specialized publishing houses include one on Friday the 11th on new frontiers in the engine sector entitled Stage V Horizon and Beyond, sponsored by the Diesel publication; one planned for the morning of Friday the 11th is Precision Fertigation, Practical Aspects and Innovation, sponsored by Edagricole; a conference backed by L’Informatore Agrario is Financial Advantage and Environmental Sustainability in Precision Farming on Saturday the 13th. Finally, to report is a seminar promoted by the magazine Mondo Macchina/Machinery World along with Assomao and FederUnacoma on Suction Irrigation for presenting a range of the most advanced solutions developed by industry in this technological setting which looks increasingly more strategic for tying in to the rational management of water resources.
